Salted Caramel Brownie Cookies

You really can't go wrong with anything that involves salt and caramel, in my opinion.  The combination perfectly satisfies all sweet and salty cravings simultaneously and always leaves me wanting more.  I made these Salted Caramel Brownie Cookies over the weekend and although they didn't rise as they should have (anyone know why?), the taste was spectacular.  They were the perfect amount of sweet and salty, chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and are definitely one of my new favorite cookies.

salt and caramel are a weakness of mine. i love sweet & salty which explains my love affair with chocolate covered pretzels. yum!

between this post and carrie's post on the cocoa brownies i might go into a sugar coma!

How weird that they didn't rise?! I had that happen to me, and the only thing I could think was that I forgot to add something, or I used the wrong increment. Hmmmm...

Check the date of your baking powder. I was told that could cause cookies not to rise. Happened to me as well. These look oh so delish!

Yum! I've never thought of caramel and salt in the same sentence, but it sounds great! Jimmy LOVES caramel and his birthday is around the corner. I think I will try to make these. :)
