Map My Run

 via
Nicole introduced me to MapMyRun years ago and I've been hooked ever since.  Running is one of my favorite ways to exercise and relieve stress and I'd usually prefer to be outside versus on a treadmill.  But I also like knowing exactly how far I'm running and where I'm going before I get started.  Enter MapMyRun.  This site helps you find favorite running paths in your area, lets you create your own runs, log your workouts, and even find running groups in your city.  They even have an iPhone app that I use when I'm on vacation.  If you're a runner, you should definitely check this out.  Have a great weekend!

i love map my run! especially bc when i lived by my old place i'd run around grant park...but really randomly haha like around the fountain, past the steel flower sculptures, etc. it's awesome bc it will calculate any route and let's get real, sometimes i just wanted to know i got 2 miles done. I don't care how, I just wanted to see the #s!!

Have a great weekend, Val!

This is a great tool for runners! I'm more of a treadmill girl but if I go outside, I like knowing where I'm headed. Have a fabulous weekend, love!

Wow, this is such a good idea! You are right that knowing how far you are running is extra motivation to keep going. Much more effective than looking at the clock.

Have a great weekend!!
PS- the TB flats came and I am in LOVE!

This is great! I've been running a lot on the treadmill (so that I know how far I've gone), so maybe this tool can help me get outdoors?!? I hope so!
Thanks for sharing, Valerie! Another way you are making all our lives easier :)

I use that! I also have a GPS watch that I LOVE!! Except for when the battery was dying the other day and it beeped like every 15 seconds on my run. so not cool.
